This little box is reminiscent of the original "cigar box" pochades that were designed to facilitate quick outdoor painting. It has a thumbhole in the bottom as well as our universal tripod mount, so you can hold it in your hand or mount it on a tripod. Interior panel covers thumbhole when not in use. 

Weighing only 2.5 lbs., the ThumBox comes complete with clips to hold panels or canvas, a leather handle, the Panel Tie Down Strap to hold supports larger than 6x8, and a storage compartment under the sliding palette.  The adjustable lid bracket positively locks in any position over a full 180° range to allow watercolorists to paint on a flat surface.  Holds 4 panels or 1 stretched canvas completely enclosed.
